Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]

There are platform integration issues on Windows and Mac as well. For example, the mailer issue is something that IE does (almost) right but no version of Netscape/Mozilla has ever handled correctly.

(The mailer thing has always been a particular pain in the ass because in a corporate setting there isn't necessarily a generic SMTP mail server available to users. My shop is on Exchange for example, with the SMTP gateway inaccessible in the DMZ. The admins shouldn't have to change the infrastructure and server configs just so I can run Mozilla.)
