Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]

From the comments above and my own experience what the mozilla project needs is more developers (I know this is slightly off topic).

The mozilla project needs more developers - and there are developers who want to work on Mozilla. There just needs to be somebody to connect the 2 up. Somebody who would be a bridge between current developers and would-be developers. Their responsabilities would be

1) Monitoring sites like mozillazine and responding to people who express a wish to get involved. Pointing them at the right documentation, suggesting areas of code where they could be most useful, suggesting areas of code that would match their skills. Pointing them at individual developers that they might wish to talk to

2) Chivvying the current developer community into documenting their code properly - providing overviews of code areas and packages etc
