Towards Mozilla 1.0
Tuesday June 26th, 2001
Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]
If you think I'm out of date here, it is because since Netscape 3 I have been prejudiced against microsoft.
I didn't use Netscape 3 because of them email, I used it because of the browser, but I did use the Netscape 3 email and have used the email which came with my browser ever since (inlcuing brief spells with Internet Mail & News, and later, Outlooks Express).
If Mozilla removed the email componant then I would seriously think about changing browsers (well, I would if I didn't hate MS so much). I just don't like the way Eudora and Pegasus work, which are the only non-browser email clients out there.
BTW we need to have a HTML edit for HTML email messages (granted it doesn't need to be nearly as good as composer).
