Towards Mozilla 1.0
Tuesday June 26th, 2001
Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]

Buttons that are so far off that they are clipped off the edge of the dialog box are not "a pixel or two off." This kind of UI problem has been pretty common through the life of Mozilla. The main ones I know about have been fixed but .... it really shouldn't have taken this long. I'm not at all sure that they are all gone, I saw one recently but it might not have been in the most recent nightly.
I'll agree that you can spend a lot of time to little effect playing around with pixel-sized tweaking of the UI... but that's not what I'm talking about and I don't think it's what I see others talking about.
