Towards Mozilla 1.0
Tuesday June 26th, 2001
Gervase Markham recently posted his feelings on what a 1.0 release of Mozilla would be. Gerv has sent us the follow-up to that posting, including much of the feedback he received. To read it, click the full article link. Once you have read through it, we welcome you to post your feelings on what you think a 1.0 release would have. [As Gerv says, please don't post your favorite list of bugs, only the criteria for choosing what bugs to fix.]

Oh my, be a little more realistic - when you go through the performance newsgroup on Mozillanews, you'll see that Mozilla is far slower than NN4 in everything except page-rendering. No need to compare it with IE, NN4 does the same. And don't bite back that Mozilla is better than NN4, we all know that. But what is important for end user? UI polish and speed. And in this NN4 is FAR better than Mozilla. If you really want Mozilla to be accepted as a browser (yes, I know it's not a browser) at least these two issues MUST be solved.
