Docs for PyXPCOM Posted and More

Wednesday May 30th, 2001

Uche Ogbuji writes in: "Ever been interested in the Python binding for XPCOM, but daunted by the lack of docs and examples? I've written a 3-part series on PyXPCOM for IBM developerWorks and the first installment, covering installation, has gone live. Parts 2 and 3 to follow within weeks.

Also, MozillaZine readers might be interested in my pair of tutorials on IBM developerWorks giving techniques on bridging XPCOM to GNOME's Bonobo (1)(2). Free registration required."

Newer builds have a really cool -server command-line option. It preloads Mozilla in invisible mode (at startup for instance). Then when you click on mozilla.exe, a window pops up in a fraction of a second. Then only problem so far is that when you open moz the second time it comes up with a blank window instead of the homepage.

Really cool.
