Jabberzilla Alpha

Thursday October 19th, 2000

Waldo checks in with: "Jabbercentral is reporting the *GREAT* news that there's now an alpha version of Jabberzilla -- an xplatform, xul-based version of the Jabber client. Jabber is a peer-to-peer messanging system that is XML-based and lets you use Instant Message systems like AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, Yahoo Chat, etc. from a single application."

Presence might be there, but if it is I don't understand it. For instance, in HotJabber if a user is online they've got a green dot, when they aren't, white dot. There's no real difference in the Jabberzilla client between online users and offline users. Once all my users were offline I tried clicking around, some were pink, some were green (all were offline, remember), some had Y's, some had dashes. Anyhow, like I said... I can't wait for a REAL working version.

And yes, I *DO* like the screenshots. :)
