Patterned after the PHP filesystem functions, simple functions such as file read/write and directory create are supported. The code has not yet made it into the nightly build, but they expect it will get in soon.

Hmm, and how does Mozilla's skinnability fit in? I mean, no way, the ordinary user will read the scripts when he/she wants to use another chrome.

Signed scripts?? And all those people using Netscape because they hate IE's Active-X and VBscript junk.. Most ordinary users I know press "yes" on every "Warning! Are you sure?" screen they get, integrating file I/O is IMO definately NOT a good idea.
