Mozilla Firefox 220.127.116.11 Fixes Windows Media Player Regression
Wednesday August 2nd, 2006
Mozilla Firefox 18.104.22.168 is now available for download. Hot on the heels of last week's Firefox 22.214.171.124 release, this update fixes a Windows Media Player plugin regression introduced in version 126.96.36.199. Firefox 188.8.131.52 included a fix for bug 181860, which unintentionally blocked the Microsoft Media Services (MMS) protocol used by some Windows Media content. This regression was reported as bug 346167 after the release of 184.108.40.206 and led to today's rapid release of 220.127.116.11. We understand that there are no other major changes in Firefox 18.104.22.168 and no new security bugs have been fixed. According to the Mozilla Developer News weblog post about Firefox 22.214.171.124, users will be offered the upgrade through the Firefox software update system over the next twenty-four to forty-eight hours. However, the impatient can download the release now from the Mozilla Firefox product page. See the Mozilla Firefox 126.96.36.199 Release Notes for more information.

When you import or upgrade your cookies using 184.108.40.206 it prepends a period '.' to each and every cookie in the cookies.txt file. This is a bug in Firefox 220.127.116.11 that did not exist in 18.104.22.168.
This causes every cookie to duplicate automatically each time Firefox actually uses the cookie by visiting the corresponding site that created the cookie.
This was reported by customers using our product with Firefox 22.214.171.124.
