Mozilla to Visit StanfordTuesday April 18th, 2000Seth Spitzer writes, "Several members of Mozilla community (mostly from the mail-news team) will be visiting Stanford University on April 25th. We'll be at Sweet Hall from 10pm to midnight, armed with free pizza, free soda, free CDs with Mozilla source code and binaries, free Mozilla t-shirts, and free Mozilla stickers. Hopefully future visits to other schools will follow." What about a public school like UC Davis? It's not that much farther, it has a Computer Science department, and I'm here! <:3)~~ Wait a sec, besides giving away free goodies, is there another reason why they are doing this? Just a PR program? To recruit potential coders? Q & A secession? <:3)~~ If the Mozilla team comes to Cal, I'll be there! When can I expect someone stopping anywhere near Vermont? Most people probably couldn't point it out on a map, but we're still here...... Small and underfunded, the University of Vermont tends to breed more Phish fans than CS people I will say. Oh well. -punkrider |
