Communicator 4.04 for OS/2 Warp Available

Saturday October 3rd, 1998

Anthony Curtis writes in with this good news for OS/2 users: "Netscape Communicator 4.04 for OS/2 Warp is now available for download along with the latest Plug-in Pak. This version of Netscape uses the 1.1.6 level of IBM's JIT/JDK which is recognised as one of the fastest Java runtimes for the Intel platform. Also available for Communicator for OS/2 is the latest version of Fortify for 128 bit encryption for non-US users and the Plug-in SDK."

Thanks, Antony. All you OS/2 users hike it on over to IBM's site to pick up the goods!

Wish IBM would port it to Linux and release it.

You mean the JDK, not Communicator, right? :-)

I wouldn't count on it though. But you never know what might happen.

By the way, this is my first visit to MozillaZine - did anyone already mention that WarpZilla, the OS/2 port of Mozilla, version 0.007 is available?
