CSS2 Tutorial at Zvon

Monday January 31st, 2000

Miloslav Nic writes, "I have just published the first version of the CSS2 tutorial at the Zvon site. It contains at this moment 50+ XML sources with 100+ simple stylesheets.

You need the Mozilla browser to see the examples. I will add support for more browsers (i.e. IE) when they reasonably support CSS2."

Thanks Miloslav. A great introduction to CSS2 (and the fact that Mozilla already supports much of it). If you want to try out the examples, use M13 - I've noticed that the CSS isn't getting applied in every example in the latest builds (if you stop and reload the example, it'll display properly). Yes, I'm filing a bug on this. :-)

#1 Nice tutorial...

...and it's good to see so much working. I looked at it with M13 under Win'98 and virtually everything looked good. The one real problem is that fixed positioning seemed to confuse the layout engine.

<P> The bad news is that when I tried to confirm the fixed positioning using a Linux build from last night, I found that the tutorial pages weren't laying out at all well none of the colours are being used. I think this might be an issue with the way XUL is being used. Why should this be? Can anyone confirm this?
