That's very interesting but I'm not shocked-they want NetCenter to dominate the portal field (that's where the money comes from). It's consistent with the option of making IE's homepage set to NetCenter. Of course, it's impossible for any plugin to turn IE into an open-source browser. :) MS can laugh all they want but in the end, Netscape gets the last laugh-after all, users will see "latest _Netscape_ browser-Download Now!" on their screen instead of any announcements from Microsoft.

It's not surprising to see Microsoft put their spin on TuneUp. However, fear not, I think this is just a sign that they are more worried about the Netscape and Intel support of Linux then they are letting anyone believe.

Microsoft's spin usually gets worse as their position is more unfavorable. I remember back in the days of IE2 and NN2, they were touting their "marquee" tag as the greatest web advancement in history, completely ignoring the fact that frames were gaining huge support and frames could only be viewed on Navigator.

Whatever happens, Microsoft will always have something ridiculously biased to say, it reminds me so much of the government propaganda back when I lived in Poland in the early 80's.

Well, i think you'll see some IE users download and try it because its Netscape and they want to atlest support Netscape.
