You're right. It does take awhile to log a good bug. But think about how long it takes for the developers to fix the bugs you find, and how much time you're saving THEM from having to research the bug themselves. This project is all about using one's abilities in the best way possible. IMO, it's silly for someone who's proficient in C++ to spend their time tracking down bugs. If we submit clear, concise bugs to the developers, then we ALL get a better product in Mozilla. That's what we all want, right? This is a collaborative effort. When Mozilla.org calls this, "The Internet's Browser," there's a reason for that. We're all helping to make it better.
Don't look at the time you spend filing bugs as a bad thing, or a waste of your time. Instead, think of all the millions of people who will be using this product (including you!) who will enjoy a close to bug-free first release because of all our hard work. And if you learn how the search engine works, think of all the duplicate bugs that won't be filed, saving people's time and allowing them to work on more important things.
Everyone can decide for themselves if they want to help make Moz the best browser for all platforms. But if you don't help, then an unfixed bug or a critical missing feature is no one's fault but your own.
