extension request: view transmission data

Hi,
in another thread (http://www.mozillazine.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7437) we were discussing the following idea for a feature/extension request:

It would be cool to have an extension that would allow you to make the transimission data visible (yes, as in the ole Netscape or in Opera). See also bug #88982 (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88982). As you can see from all the dupes and the CC's, there's quite a few people interested in it. The data that could be shown was nicely described in this comment: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=88982#c6

Well, I was just wondering if somebody might be interested in trying to implement this. I am not a programmer so I can't contribute code. But ideas, conceptional work or testing I'll be more than happy to.
