Blozom

Post by jedbro »

Has anyone tried out <a href="http://www.blozom.com/">Blozom</a>?
I'm hesitant to try it out, as I only have one copy of Moz on my system and I rely heavily on it for my mail. Any Takers?

Adding WYSIWIG editing right now. The next release will be Mozilla 1.3 only, but will feature an embedded Midas editor with a custom link dialog. Release by 03/15.

Sounds promissing!

[damn my spelling sucks]

Risk taking

Well, it won't break anything. No overlays, no menu items, etc.

However, the next release (3/15) should be much more user friendly. That's relatively speaking of course -- you have to edit a .js file to do configuration.

In any event, if you do want to try it out -- look me (andyed) up in #mozdev.

Blozom: A weblogging tool

Post by andyed »

Verson 0.1 is up at <a href="http://blozom.mozdev.org">mozdev</a>.

Blozom is a standalone weblog publishing tool that works with Mozilla 1.3, incoporating Midas as well as integration of history and bookmarks.

It stores posts in flat files with an associated .xml of metadata.

Other features:
* rendering and editing of note folders
* RSS
* categories and category specific RSS
