Hello CDN - a bug? Using build 12-28 - unable to view prefereces and on resart, automatically sets icons to default - no memory.

By right-clicking you can choose whether you want to see an image or text...

Thx cdn, the new version is much better!

This looks good but I cant get it to sit on any other toolbar - i.e it just sits on the menu toolbar and therefore doesnt save any space.
Am I missing something (yeah... a clue :) ) ?

Thanks

It is still bound to Menubar, which is not movable. Compact is just a wrapper.

AHA!
So... the (or A) solution is to move the other buttons to the menu bar.
Good stuff. Phoenix is good but its the extensions that make it super :)

Thanks for the reply.

"C" is a bit confusing...

Post by djst »

Wouldn't it be better (and more obvious) if "C" was changed to "Menu" instead? I think it would be easier to understand, and it would also look better.

But that's not as compact as possible. I agree, though. But when I do use Compact, I use it in image mode.

Huh? Replacing "File Edit View Go Bookmarks Tools Help" with just "Menu" is compact enough if you ask me! ;)
Also, if you're using the image, you get the same width as "Menu" anyway.

"C" just looks confusing to me. Looks more like an error than the more informative "Menu". Just a thought.

I don't have the sharc as my image, I have the right arrow |>. That's been implemented for about a week, I think.

I wouldn't use it unless it said Menu. But that's just me. I think one letter is just confusing and looks "broken".

We're actually compacting a whole menu into just "Menu", isn't that enough space savings? The point (I assume) is to have the toolbar and menubar on the same row, right? Then "Menu" will not be wider than a normal button. Most systems have at least 1024 pixels wide resolution.
