Mac OS X Bugs for 5-30 build

Post by macrxnapa »

First a general comment:

Thunderbird is a wonerful piece of software. My compliments to the software chef(s)! Many thanks!!!

After building the Macintosh version I usually test the basic workings of the software before posting. The tests are listed in my Readme.txt file included with the software.

This time however I 'pounded' on it a little more and found a few issues.

1. Help button in the Message Filter window probably need to be hidden.

2. The Import wizard is not showing a list of other email programs to import from.

3. Clicking on the Junk button, in the toolbar crashes Thunderbird. Clicking on the Junk widget in the thread pane works fine, however.

4. Print Prevview window shows an empty window for the selected message.

5. Thunderbird theme preview shows browser chrome for Windows or Linux.
(Can I offer a preview image for the Macintosh Thunderbird build?)

6. Advanced Preferences:

Buttons are appearing where there probably should be disclosure trriangles.
The Window button is not revealing your choices for main window layout.

Any further discoveries are welcome.

Thunderbird 6-1 build arriving

Post by macrxnapa »

First, many apologies.

I just completed a new build which is uploading as I type this.

Some of the "bugs" I reported are addressed in this build. However, they were very likely caused by me, by the way I built the app, rather than coding issues <slap self on wrist - baaaad Don> :-(.

However, Help buttons still need hiding, for example. :-)

Regards
Don
