Unbustaged?

Post by gerbig »

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=191637#c44
I changed customizeToolbar.js as recommended and it works for me. I've customized the toolbar, quit Phoenix, restarted Phoenix, and had the toolbar remain unbustaged.

Tested on: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Phoenix/0.5

Here's a link to the file that's updated:
http://www10.brinkster.com/gerbig/toolkit.jar (307KB)
It goes in the phoenix\chrome directory.

I've noticed one weird thing, an extra minimize button appears after customization, but it disappears after restarting.

I can confirm the unbustage. The minimize button appears, but can be dragged off with no ill-effects I've yet noticed (and it goes away on a restart.)

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3b) Gecko/20030211 Phoenix/0.5

Thanks! Looks like the next nightly that actually gets built will have this fixed, then. So long as someone can be rounded up to check it in. :-D

Oh, wait. I've found a problem beyond the minimize-button. Changes I make only seem to stick for the first window Phoenix creates. New windows I open after that have the default initial-install settings. Restarting *doesn't* fix that.

Still, it's a start. :-D

I do. Installed it recently enough that if it's a bug in it, then I might well be getting it mixed up. Didn't realise it was a bug in that, though.
