How about, instead of Phoenix:
  • Feenix
  • Pheenix
  • Foenix
  • Φnix

Actually, that's quite clever - she had a special gift for navigating (especially on snow/ice). Great book!

OR.. at least use the SEARCH function (top left) on the appropriate forum and check and see if ur awesome unique idea has been mentioned before :)

(expecting new people to read an almost 70 page thread.. is slightly unrealistic:)

I promised myself not to get involved with this.

Someone mentioned marketing earlier. The best name from that standpoint is probably Internet Explorer, unfortunately it's already taken. Unless MS is willing to relinquish the copyright we can't use it.

But along that line what about "Adventure" or "Adventurer"?

Phoenix name

Post by krashtd »

why not call it 'Sex' ?

picture it... someone is surfing with Internet Explorer and comes across a page that says 'This site supports Sex'. he or she will immediately connect with that site, and declare 'Me too!' He or she will then go out looking for 'Sex', this new hip thing that so many sites and people are supporting. It's the latest craze. Everyone's telling their friends, "Oh you've GOT to try Sex. It's the BEST!" "Everyone should have Sex. Then we wouldn't have half the problems we have now." "Yeah man, I'll never go back to Microsoft or Opera now that I've had Sex."

Instant hit.

actually, that's the name of a brand of badass bicycle. i'm not saying that it can't be used as a replacement for phoenix; only commenting on your diagnosis of ... um ... coolness? (or lack thereof)

didn't know that. i ride bike to classes everyday, but i'm in no way knowledgeable about the biking stuff other than "it works" or "pump the tires up".

(subliminal message: firebird, scamp, fox/phox, flare/flair.....)

How about "Falcon"?

It's swift, it's deadly.

Well, if we're going for simplicity...

How about Internet Browser, or just Browser?

I hope that hasn't been suggested yet, but I searched and didn't find this...
