Firefox 1.0.1 auto-update rollout
- All localisations done except Japanese
- One mirror isn't mirroring properly
- 700,000 - 1,000,000 download a day across various releases
- Firefox 1.0 downloads dropped to a trickle (< 10,000 a day)
- 6,000,000 of 1.0.1 and the 1.0.1 update. Guess: 1M new, 5M upgrades?
- Want to modify the 1.0 Firefox start page to add a critical update notice
Thunderbird 1.0.1
- Started work on this last week
- Security fix verification and functional testing this week
- Testing candidate pushed to the community if we get remaining fixes in by tomorrow
- Ship by week's end
Mozilla 1.7.6
- This is scheduled for the following week after TB 1.1
- Then focus shifts to the trunk
Mozilla 1.8b2
- Current plan: 1.8b2 freeze March 16th, ship 18th
- We're not going to hit those dates; should we add a beta3?
- Drivers to work it out
- Shouldn't branch until we've shipped a Firefox alpha or equivalent off the trunk
Firefox 1.1
- Made progress on planning last week
- Getting closer to a schedule
- Taken more work on than we originally planned
- Original goal was to sync up with the trunk and ship it, but there are regressions, things that didn't land, and a few new features
Thunderbird 1.1
- A bit further on in the planning than Firefox 1.1
- Less changes
UMO load
- More capacity online recently
- 1M downloads a day doesn't break sweat
