Mozilla Foundation Seeking Designer for $1,000,000 Mozillion Fundraising Site

Over the last 9 months, the Mozilla Foundation has raised close to $100,000 in online donations from more than 3000 users. Building on this success, and borrowing a page from the playbook of recent political campaigns, we are now gearing up to launch the Mozillion campaign, an effort to raise one million dollars in online contributions over the next 12 months.

Our volunteer team of seasoned web developers/online fundraisers is hard at work building the site. Now all that's missing is a really great design for the site. We need help from a talented graphic designer (or a team of designers) to develop a logo for the project and a design for the web site. The designer will work closely with our developers to make sure that this web site is standards compliant, fast, and ties into our database, transactions system and scripts.

Got skills? Show us what you can do. This is a call for design concepts for the Mozillion web site.

The gory details:

  • Budget: $0. This is a volunteer endeavor
  • Submission deadline: May 7, midnight PDT
  • Submission method: Send email to mozillion AT mozilla.org with a URL to your site mockup
  • Mockup content:
    • Mozillion logo
    • Home page mockup
    • One internal page
  • Mozillion web site details: The site will be a place where people go to make donations to the Mozilla Foundation and where Mozillion fundraisers can monitor and manage their fundraising campaign. Mozillion fundraisers are people who set up their own homepage on Mozillion and invite their friends or customers to support Mozilla. A good example of the type of site we're building is https://contribute2.johnkerry.com/kerrycore/.
