Extension Room Update (Extensions/Add-ons organization & information)
by Jed Brown

Extension Room is finally out of testing stages and gone final! ER is a housing for all XUL based extensions, which serves as an installation base and discussion site related to extensions both hosted on mozdev, and around the net.

The role of Extension Room is to assist the user in finding extensions (s)he will find useful (or fun!), and to document any incompatibilities arising between them. Our database is XML based and offered to the community for any use (e.g. ExtensionManager (EM)).

CardGames Update (A collection of patience/solitaire card games)
by Stephen Clavering

Cards 0.10.3 has been released. This version features two new games: Double Solitaire and FreeCell. Double Solitaire is an interesting variant of Klondike in which two packs less one set of Aces are used, there are 10 playing piles instead of 7, and the foundations are built in the highly unusual sequence A, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4... Q, Q, K, K. FreeCell of course needs no introduction for card games fans. This version also fixes bugs in Spider Solitaire and Simple Simon, and extends the intelligent moving of cards (when middle clicked) to work in Regiment.

Der Tandem Browser Update (Synchronized browsing add-on for Mozilla)
by Charles Melhorn

Version 0.6 of Der Tandem Browser is now available. Der Tandem Browser is a Mozilla add-on which provides features that facilitate synchronized or interactive browsing among two or more people. It embeds a chat client/control panel in the bottom of the browser and makes it possible to link two or more browsers such that a URL loaded into the lead browser will be automatically forwarded and loaded into the browsers of all participating users. Please see Synchronized Browsing for a more detailed description of the synchronized browsing feature and the DTB home page for a broader introduction.

mozdev Update (Free project hosting site for Mozilla apps and extensions)
by David Boswell

We've just published a new set of project categories that should make finding add-ons and extensions much easier. The new categories break up the previous single long list of add-ons into 11 different categories with fewer than 20 projects in each. This should greatly reduce the amount of hunting required to find the project you are looking for.

The mozdev pledge drive has also received a phenomenal response from the community. Thank you to everyone who has contributed. We are already more than half way to our goal of raising $2,500.

There is one other item. We are in the process of handing off mailing list moderation to project owners. The process is being done manually right now on a voluntary basis. If you'd like to start moderating your own list, contact us at admin at mozdev.org.

Mozile Update (Inline editor for Mozilla)
by Ronoc Lapy

Mozile v0.45, released Thursday, adds support for editing XHTML within XML, image insertion, cut-paste and save-to-file and a new toolbar.

Linky Update (Easy access to open links and pictures on webpages)
by Henrik Gemal

Linky version 1.7.1 released! The new version includes:
  • Linky menuitem moved up before Properties to avoid conflict with normal Windows context menu. The last menu item on a Windows context menu is always Properties.
  • Better installation. Will check for dupe JAR file in personal chrome folder and global chrome folder to avoid double Linky menuitem.
  • Added more sorting options in Select Links dialog. Select links by text input.
  • Added MPL 1.1/GPL 2.0/LGPL 2.1 license stuff.
  • Size of Select Links window is now being remembered.
  • Fixed one last use of old preference. All Linky preferences are called extensions.linky.
  • If you're getting install error -239 it's not Linky's fault but bug 109044.
Install the latest version and try it out.
