Tinderstatus Update (A status bar icon showing current tinderbox state)
by Myk Melez
Tinderstatus 0.1.1 has been released. The new version installs into the profile chrome directory so you don't have to reinstall it after upgrading your Mozilla/Firebird build. It also fixes a minor bug that causes the browser status bar to grow slightly in some themes. I also updated the project page with a description of the app and how to install/use/uninstall it and how to contribute to its development.
SmoothWheel Update (Mouse wheel scrolls smoothly similar to IE)
by Avi Halachmi
SmoothWheel version 0.2 has been released. The Smoothwheel extension will scroll the page smoothly with the mouse wheel. It can enhance/replace the internal Gecko smoothscroll which was introduced on 2003-03-24. It's also working with older versions of Phoenix/Mozilla on Win32/Linux. It has optimized code, includes 6 presets, and is very configurable.
Mini Changelog (v0.2) 15-Apr-2003:
Mozile Update (Inline editor for Mozilla)
by Ronoc Lapy
Mozile (short for Mozilla InlineEditor) is an in-browser, context-sensitive, XHTML editor that allows a user to edit all or just specific editable sections of any XHTML page from the comfort of his own browser. It can act as the client-side of a content-editing system or as a self-contained "web word processor".
Electrix Update (Hit Ctrl-E in a textarea to edit in e.g. Emacs)
by Ben Peter
Electrix is now working on Win32, Linux and OS X, and the project is fully set up on mozdev. Electrix launches an editor on hitting Ctrl-E in a textarea. This is primarily interesting for people who need to program through a web interface, like users of Midgard CMS or TYPO3.
Demiurge Update (Mozilla application development tool)
by Pete Collins
Demiurge is another MAD tool from Mozdev Group, Inc. It is geared for designers, web developers and end users. The goal is to create a tool that makes it easy to whip up Mozilla apps. This is my first announcement of the project and it is still in the very early stages. Current functionality allows you to easily and quickly create a menubar and toolbar while seeing the finished results at all times. Screenshots are available to show what's currently functioning. This app is built on top of JSLib and XPTK. Emphasis is being placed on ease of use and intuitiveness. Stay tuned for more.
JSLib Update (Mozilla application development tools)
by Jacob Emcken
I've started writing and reorganizing the JSLib documentation. I've also been updating the date module. More information about this is available at mozdev bug 3312.
DownloadStatusbar Update (Keep track of downloads in an autohide statusbar)
by Devon Jensen
DownloadStatusbar is a new project on mozdev. I've just released a new Firebird version 0.71 (Mozilla version forthcoming). You can see how it works in the screenshots on the project site.

Gnusto Update (Interpreter for Z-machine games)
by Thomas Thurman
Gnusto is up to 0.4.0. It has a new and improved screen handler and a whole lot of extra opcodes have been implemented, so it can play lots of extra games. Also, there are lots of bugfixes. Eric Liga joined the development team. There's more information in the release notes. Version 0.5.0 will handle Z-code games natively with no preprocessing (it's fixed in CVS, but I got the change in too late for 0.4.0).
Diggler Update (A set of URL manipulation utilities for power users)
by Adam Lock
Diggler 0.5 was just released. No major changes, but it has been tested with 1.3 & 1.4 and now has new radio menu buttons to toggle image loading behaviour on/off.
NeedleSearch Update (Enables users to add/delete own search engines)
by Eelco van Kuik
NeedleSearch released version 2.02. This toolbar lets you add and delete search engines of your own choice to the NeedleSearch Toolbar. It is not necessary to download plugins for this, just tell the toolbar which search engine you would like to add and the Auto-add functionality will find out how to the search engine functions and add it as a search engine bookmark. The project got a really professional look since version 2.0 thanks to Alex Rabino, who drew the icons.
This version only contains bugfixes. An update for all users is recommended.
The NeedleSearch Toolbar is available in 9 languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, German, Danish, Cymraeg/Welsh and Japanese thanks to enthusiastic users of the toolbar. Bulgarian and Czech will soon follow. If you would like to add another translation, please visit the translation page.
Checky Update (An interface to online validators and checkers)
by Joachim Schreiber
Checky 1.5 for Mozilla based browsers is now available. Checky adds a submenu to Mozilla's context menu that allows you to run whatever page you're on through one of (currently) 25 different online validaton and analysis services. Checky-Agent can be activated from the Checky menu or by simply pressing the F12 key. So, for example, you could run your page against the W3C's markup and CSS validators, the Web Design Group's HTML Validator, and Watchfire's Bobby with a single keystroke and display the results in a new browser window or tab. Validate and analyse local files with Checky-Upload.
Service interfaces available for HTML, XHTML, CSS, RDF, RSS, XML, SGML, WAI, Section 508, P3P, various viewers, valets and purifiers.
