Independent Status ReportsAbiMoz Update (An AbiWord plugin for Mozilla) by Mike Potter AbiMoz is a project which embeds AbiWord inside of Mozilla, allowing the user to write their own interface to it using XUL and JavaScript. It has been updated to work with Mozilla 1.2b and Abiword 1.0.3. Sardine Update (An active content customization agent) by David McNamara Sardine allows the Mozilla user to apply customizations to all websites visited. The customizations are done by manipulating the DOM. All elements in the DOM, and all attributes of those elements can be manipulated. Any element can be changed to a different type, or hidden or an attribute removed, changed or added. Some work has been done on this project, but I don't have time to maintain it, so it's up for adoption by any interested parties. Games Update (Mozilla-based gaming projects) by David McNamara Two new games have been released on games.mozdev.org: Xoom is a top-down car racing game developed in XUL, and Bloquezilla is a slidingblocks clone for Mozilla. Linky Update (Easy access to open links and pictures on webpages) by Henrik Gemal Linky is a very simple addon to the context menu that provide you with the ability to open links in the current page in tabs or windows. The next version of Linky will include option of opening only selected links. But I'm having problems in accessing links in a selection. If you have any ideas let me know. mozdev Update (Mozilla-based project hosting site) by David Boswell We just announced the 100th project on mozdev. Not that we have a grand prize, but if we did it would go to the Sardine project. Keep in mind that this list only tracks the announced projects. There are about an equal number of unannounced projects. The problem with the announced and unannounced lists is that these don't necessarily correlate with active and unactive projects. We're looking into changing the way we list and categorize projects to make this information more useful.
